KATIE AND BRAD’S WEDDING – JW MARRIOTT DENVER, AT CHERRY CREEK

Smiles. They say a million things without even using words. My favorite pictures are ones where my clients are smiling (just take a look around my office). Almost 2 years ago, I briefly photographed Katie and Brad in a wedding party that I was shooting at another wedding. Even then, their energy was electric. They smiled, had a ton of fun, and were just people you wanted to be around. Katie and Brad called me last year and said they were getting married. I was really flippin excited to take pictures of these two and the love they have for each other. Words seriously cannot express.

The day? Well, it was another snorailing mess here in Denver. It was seriously snowing, hailing, raining, and blizzarding on their day. They were surrounded by their closest friends, amazing family, awesomely cool details … and the weather didn’t stop any of us. Aside from having a beautiful ceremony, can I just say that the dance party at the reception was outta control (in a good way) We had so much fun … it was pretty cool (just see the images below). The Marriott was BE-AU-TI-FUL!

Katie and Brad – Thank you! You two are seriously amazing! I am so thankful to have met you, and to be asked to capture such a fabulous and exciting time in your lives. I am looking forward to your After-Party Session!! Hugs!

The Restaurant on the grounds of the Marriott had this amazing Wine Cooler Wall. They let us sneak in for a few shots.

This is the energy I was describing, they are so adorable together, so happy, so in love!

During the toasts …

Katie’s father is from California. He brought a bag full of several souveniers that he felt described Katie and Brad, as well as reminders of where their family is from… he doesn’t live far from Disney

So, I love when there is a rocking party on the dance floor. Imagine how excited I was when I turned around and saw this happen! AWESOME!

It’s pretty rock-tastic when my bride breaks out the air guitar. I LOVE EVERYTHING about this image.

KRISTIN + MARC WEDDING

Last weekend I shot Kristin and Marc’s wedding in Colorado Springs. First of all, the weather was beau-ti-ful! I don’t know how we lucked out with a 60 degree day in January, but we did. I met Kristin a few years back before leaving my corporate career in pursuit of my business. Kristin and I just clicked… I seriously love this girl. She is gorgeous, smart, caring and the list goes on. I met Marc some time after knowing Kristin and he is Awesome. I seriously love these two and can’t say enough good things about them.

Kristin and Marc were married at St. Gabrielle’s Church in Colorado Springs. They had a beautiful traditional ceremony. I have so many favorite images from their ceremony that I can’t share them all here. Stay tuned for the slideshow later today. After that, we headed downtown for a few shots… and their reception was at Jack Quinn’s.

Kristin and Marc, I hope you are living it up in Mexico right now. I am so happy for you both and love you guys to death. Thanks for asking me to capture your day. You started 2009 off with a bang!

NATE + ANGELA ENGAGEMENT, DENVER COLORADO

I am a true believer that people come in to your life for a reason and that everything happens for a reason. Nate and Angela are the winners of the free wedding give-away. They are so incredibly sweet … and sooooo in love! Matt, Ava, and I had the pleasure of having dinner with them a few weeks ago. Their story is truly romantic … and Nate’s essay brings tears to the eyes! I am so honored to have met them and to be photographing their wedding. Nate and Angela, not only are you clients, but you have become our friends! Nate was a little nervous about this session. He apparently remembers his traditional senior photos all too well. I hope that I broke the mold for you Nate! I had a blast with you two. I can’t wait to shoot your wedding next June. P.S. Thanks for the adorable things for Ava… there’s a picture of that coming soon!
