COLORADO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – KATIE + BRAD “THE AFTER PARTY”

I’m a fun girl – and I like to do fun girly sort of things. I still love to get dressed up and prance around in heels with my hair and makeup done. :) I would love to “trash my dress” or do a “day after session” in my dress. If only I could fit in it! Regardless, I’m not a traditional girl. I like to call these sessions “The After Party”. My name is Karie and I like to Party Just kidding.

When I was putting together the KMP Promo Video, I contacted Katie and Brad. They got married last April at the JW Marriott Cherry Creek. Their wedding was in April. There was a BLIZZARD that day. It was snowing. Hard. The deep, wet sort of Colorado Snow. While Katie and Brad were troopers, our plans of getting outside for shots were slowly diminishing. Long story short – their love for each other is adorably amazing. We headed out for their After Party Session and got some super sa-weet shots around Denver. I can’t wait to share some of these with you

And – just a few shouts of love. Rachael with Girls and Curls did Katie’s hair and makeup – which was gorgeous (Katie is stunning). Amber with Beautiful Expressions designed the super fab bouquet and boutineer. You girls rock!

NICOLE + GARIN, MARRIED! SHERATON DENVER DOWNTOWN.

It was an incredibly gorgeous day. Nicole and Garin were married at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in the Highlands. They, and 350 of their friends and family, gathered to watch them get married. When I first met Garin and Nicole, it was obvious that they were very in love. They are so warm and genuine, that photographing them was not only a pleasure, but easy. We got time to hang out downtown (on probably the busiest weekend ever in Denver), and grabbed some amazing urban shots before getting back on the party bus to head to their fabulous reception.

Nicole and Garin didn’t miss any details for their wedding … they had a monogramed theme that was carried through all of the details. The cake, the Ice Sculpture, the cups that the guests got to take home, it was all monogramed. The centerpieces were flowing and the guests were grooving

Nicole and Garin were having a traditional Catholic Ceremony, so she had her bridal party sign her shoes. Too cute!

I loved the way Garin looked at her when she was walking down the isle.

The Reception was at the Sheraton Downtown on 16th Street. They had an awesome Cocktail Hour that led in to the reception with AMAZING details.

The band played (they were amazing), and pulled Garin up on stage. He is an UBER talented singer. He sang, “Brown Eyed Girl”. So awesome!

And while Garin sung, the crowd went wild!

Nicole and Garin, I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Ireland! You are so Amazing! Thank you for EVERYTHING! Hugs!

The Rocky Mountain air was fresh as Carrie and her Bridesmaids arrived to get ready for their day … the one they had been planning for months now, from hundreds of miles away. Her girls were the most awesome kind … the ones that told you how they knew Carrie, and loved her like a sister. A few blocks up the road, Ben was preparing for the same big day, with his family and groomsmen.

Carrie and Ben met in LA and moved to Miami together. It was there that their love blossomed and turned in to the amazing kind that they have today. Seriously, these two are the most thoughtful, caring, and genuinely in love people ever! I have talked to Carrie for months now, and had never met her until this day. She was STUNNING in her dress and lime green shoes. Ben, he was rocking out a beige suit, green tie, and brown Vans. Yeah, it was THAT AWESOME

Carrie and Ben had a traditional ceremony – the Chuppa was made from aspen trunks! Beautiful!!!

ERIN + BILLY, MARRIED! BLACKSTONE COUNTRY CLUB, AURORA

I celebrated a completely awesome day with Erin and Billy at Blackstone Country Club in Aurora a few weeks ago. I LOVE when we have a lot of time for bride and groom portraits. Erin and Billy saw each other before hand (a First Look), so we got to spend time before and after the ceremony with the two of them. I have so many favorites from their wedding that it has been uber hard to narrow this down. Erin and Billy are a genuine, awesomely, lovely couple who spent their wedding day surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Blackstone is AMAZING (I highly recommend it), but I found this garage, and we had to shoot in it That’s just how I roll! LOVE THIS IMAGE.

ASHLEY + SCOTT, MARRIED! REMBRANDT YARD, BOULDER

A few weeks ago, I shared an amazing day with Ashley and Scott in Boulder. They are such a cute couple! I LOVED how simple and elegant this wedding was. Ashley and Scott were so much fun to work with. They are super easy going, and beautifully in love! The girls got ready at the Hotel Boulderado in Boulder. The wedding and reception took place at Rembrandt Yard. It is a super modern and unique little art studio. It was such a cool place for a wedding/reception. Ashley and Scott pretty much rocked my socks off! Ashley looked amazing and I loved her dress and hair piece. We got to wander around Boulder a bit. It’s one of my favorite places! Ashley and Scott, I hope you had an amazing time in Napa. You are AWESOME!

Ashley looked STUNNING in her amazing dress from Ana Be. The girls got ready at Hotel Boulderado. It was so pretty on the bridal balcony!

Rembrandt Yard was a beautiful place for a ceremony! The Flat Irons were right out this window, and the art was also a beautiful back drop!

MICHELLE AND NICK – THE CRYSTAL ROSE, DENVER

Michelle and Nick celebrated such an awesomely sweet day in Denver a few weekends ago. First things First, we started shooting the girls getting ready. Shortly after they started getting ready, the Denver rain started. It seriously rained all day! But, that didn’t stop our party The day was filled with tons of emotion as Michelle and Nick stated their vows and celebrated with friends and family. When I initially met these two, I was overwhelmed by their love for each other. Seriously, they are the kind of people that look at one another, and nobody else in the room exists! Michelle and Nick, I am so thankful to have met you and been able to capture your day! You have such a unique love for each other! I seriously heart you

ANGELA AND NATE: THEY DID! DENVER BOTANICAL GARDENS WEDDING

LOVE … LAUGHTER … FUN! I am truly amazed by sharing Nate and Angela’s wedding with them on Saturday. You will remember them from their AWESOME engagement session HERE. Nate and Angela were our First Annual Free Wedding Give Away Winners! Nate wrote the most AMAZING story of he and Angela’s love. It is really one of the neatest things ever! They will be helping us judge this year’s give away. SO STAY TUNED!

Angela and Nate were married at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Parish in Parker. Their wedding reception was at the BEAUTIFUL Denver Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately, we had some weather that came through, so dancing had to be moved inside, but they still had an absolutely AH-MA-ZING day. Nate is one of the kindest people I know. He is SO genuine. Angela is STUNNING, warm, and so caring! I love these two and feel so blessed that our paths crossed!

They had some amazing details at their wedding. Sit back and enjoy the ride, this is going to be a long post!

The dinner was in the Ballroom …. BEAUTIFUL

Because there was a lot of ground to cover for the guests, they had these flip flops in a wide array of sizes that guests could take … pretty cool party favor!

During Dinner, they had 3 stations, the first was my favorite, it was a salad bar … you chose toppings, they mixed your salad in Martini Shakers and put them in Martini Glasses!

I LOVE really unique details … after the first dance, the catering company began serving guests with these … HOW CUTE!

So after dinner, toasts and dances (and a good hail storm), we got to go back outside. Angela changed into a more comfortable dress (with these HOT shoes) … Ang, I love you girl!

Again, I love Angela and Nate … this is totally them!!

Nate and Angela, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your LOVE STORY with me … and allowing me to share such a special part of your day. You are such an awesomely special couple. I can’t tell you how much awesomseness I have in my heart for you! Angela told me she would be stalking my blog from Mexico I hope you and Nate are having such a FANTASTIC time. Love you guys!
