My style is very couture, fresh, and fun. In other words, these aren’t your parent’s wedding photographs. I strive to capture my couples as who they are, how they love one another, and tell the story of love. I want a couple's pictures to be a reflection of them. I am inspired by fashion, which allows me to capture my clients in a way that is unique and editorial.
Please browse my boudoir gallery as well. These photos are a great gift for your Man anytime, or as a special surprise gift on your wedding day, Valentine’s Day, or any day. These sessions are classy and modern. Your someone special, will love them.
I have had the opportunity to work with Colorado's top wedding planners, resorts, videographers, DJ's, and venues.

I have been editing, like a lot And I have so many amazing shoots to share … but first things first … a taste of things to come. I love getting emails from my blog readers asking where I am. Truth is, I am designing albums, processing print orders, and processing beautiful images from the amazing weddings this summer. Here are a few things coming to the blog soon!
I’m a fun girl – and I like to do fun girly sort of things. I still love to get dressed up and prance around in heels with my hair and makeup done. :) I would love to “trash my dress” or do a “day after session” in my dress. If only I could fit in it! Regardless, I’m not a traditional girl. I like to call these sessions “The After Party”. My name is Karie and I like to Party Just kidding.
When I was putting together the KMP Promo Video, I contacted Katie and Brad. They got married last April at the JW Marriott Cherry Creek. Their wedding was in April. There was a BLIZZARD that day. It was snowing. Hard. The deep, wet sort of Colorado Snow. While Katie and Brad were troopers, our plans of getting outside for shots were slowly diminishing. Long story short – their love for each other is adorably amazing. We headed out for their After Party Session and got some super sa-weet shots around Denver. I can’t wait to share some of these with you
And – just a few shouts of love. Rachael with Girls and Curls did Katie’s hair and makeup – which was gorgeous (Katie is stunning). Amber with Beautiful Expressions designed the super fab bouquet and boutineer. You girls rock!
Kristie Fox — Katie!!!
Such a beautiful bride:)!!! Karie did a Bourdior session for me for my husband for Valentine's Day and I was like WAIT...that's Katie!!! You look amazing as usual!!! ( April 19, 2010 @ 1:11 pm )
Joe — Great series. I love the final picture. It is has a timeless feel. I love the composition of the bride. And it is in a beautiful location in downtown Denver. ( April 29, 2010 @ 5:41 pm )
admin — Thanks so much Joe! I appreciate it! ( April 29, 2010 @ 5:45 pm )
It was an incredibly gorgeous day. Nicole and Garin were married at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in the Highlands. They, and 350 of their friends and family, gathered to watch them get married. When I first met Garin and Nicole, it was obvious that they were very in love. They are so warm and genuine, that photographing them was not only a pleasure, but easy. We got time to hang out downtown (on probably the busiest weekend ever in Denver), and grabbed some amazing urban shots before getting back on the party bus to head to their fabulous reception.
Nicole and Garin didn’t miss any details for their wedding … they had a monogramed theme that was carried through all of the details. The cake, the Ice Sculpture, the cups that the guests got to take home, it was all monogramed. The centerpieces were flowing and the guests were grooving
Nicole and Garin were having a traditional Catholic Ceremony, so she had her bridal party sign her shoes. Too cute!
I loved the way Garin looked at her when she was walking down the isle.
I Love, Love, Love this shot of them during the rose ceremony!
Downtown …
Love this, these two are always smiling!
FAVE!
Another fave! You two are amazing!
The Reception was at the Sheraton Downtown on 16th Street. They had an awesome Cocktail Hour that led in to the reception with AMAZING details.
The band played (they were amazing), and pulled Garin up on stage. He is an UBER talented singer. He sang, “Brown Eyed Girl”. So awesome!
And while Garin sung, the crowd went wild!
Nicole and Garin, I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Ireland! You are so Amazing! Thank you for EVERYTHING! Hugs!
Jack — Go Karie! nice selection girl! =) ( October 7, 2009 @ 2:40 pm )
Jennifer — The shots from downtown are at my building, even the ones from the parking garage!
I love the bottom of her shoes!! ( October 7, 2009 @ 3:01 pm )
Ashli Bashly — LOVE THEM! The reception was accross the street from my old work (the World Trade Center) I LOVE that he sang Brown Eyed Girl! Dave needs to take lessons I think ;o) LOL ( October 7, 2009 @ 5:58 pm )
I had so much fun going through the images of this weekends Shot Spot (that’s our version of the Photo Booth). Nicole and Garin’s guests just BROUGHT IT (all 350 of them). We had so much fun. Stay tuned for more from Nicole and Garin’s fabulous wedding.

The Rocky Mountain air was fresh as Carrie and her Bridesmaids arrived to get ready for their day … the one they had been planning for months now, from hundreds of miles away. Her girls were the most awesome kind … the ones that told you how they knew Carrie, and loved her like a sister. A few blocks up the road, Ben was preparing for the same big day, with his family and groomsmen.
Carrie and Ben met in LA and moved to Miami together. It was there that their love blossomed and turned in to the amazing kind that they have today. Seriously, these two are the most thoughtful, caring, and genuinely in love people ever! I have talked to Carrie for months now, and had never met her until this day. She was STUNNING in her dress and lime green shoes. Ben, he was rocking out a beige suit, green tie, and brown Vans. Yeah, it was THAT AWESOME
Carrie’s smile is contagious! I seriously heart her
I love first looks! This one was no let down. LOVE this image.
The awesome-est bridal party!
Carrie and Ben had a traditional ceremony – the Chuppa was made from aspen trunks! Beautiful!!!
Carrie and Ben’s flower girl – Ladybug! She is so cute!
I loved how Carrie smiled as she listened to Ben’s vows to her.
I had a little bit of sensory overload with this scenery! I have so many favorites, this was hard to narrow down!
A fave!
Another fave … I saw these flowers and couldn’t resist!!
Those green shoes are for hiking … and it was worth it!
Another super fave! Carrie, I love your laughter.
I loved some of the mountain details at this wedding …
Natalie got some great detail shots for me … the centerpieces were wrapped with Aspen bark, and each table had a mountain name on it
Each guest went home with one of these
Plum Sage Flowers did an amazing job!
Carrie and Ben, you are fabulous. Your families are amazing. Thank you for everything. I had such an amazing time capturing your day … and Natalie did too! A huge thanks goes out to Debbie with Save the Date Events. She does such a fantastic job at making the day go smoothly! If you are looking for a coordinator check out her team!! I highly recommend her!
For more, check out their slideshow. They had a super dance crowd, and I have way too many faves to post them all here!

I celebrated a completely awesome day with Erin and Billy at Blackstone Country Club in Aurora a few weeks ago. I LOVE when we have a lot of time for bride and groom portraits. Erin and Billy saw each other before hand (a First Look), so we got to spend time before and after the ceremony with the two of them. I have so many favorites from their wedding that it has been uber hard to narrow this down. Erin and Billy are a genuine, awesomely, lovely couple who spent their wedding day surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Blackstone is AMAZING (I highly recommend it), but I found this garage, and we had to shoot in it That’s just how I roll! LOVE THIS IMAGE.
Are You Kidding Me? Another fave.
Beautiful … I love this one! Blackstone’s architecture is awesome!
Quite possibly my FAVORITE groomsmen shots EVER! Work it out boys!
Erin, you are ga-ga-gorgeous!
Blackstone’s Waterfall!
During the reception, I made them come outside with me … cranked up the hotness factor Love this!
And with some Vintage-y Flair, this reminds me of an old movie and I LOVE IT!
Erin and Billy, I hope you had a fantastic time in Hawaii (I’m so jealous)! Thank you for sharing such an amazing day with me. Wanna see more? Check out their slideshow below:
Erin — Oh man...what can I say...you are unbelievable Karie!!!! Thank you so much! ( September 1, 2009 @ 2:56 pm )
michelle — great job karie! i think the first image is definitely the fave! ( September 2, 2009 @ 12:21 pm )
Ashli — Karie these pictures are unbelievable, you never seize to amaze me. I look at your blog everyday as apart of my routine and I always start to tear up looking at your pictures! I cannot wait for my day. Oh and if we got married here, Blackstone would be on the list! LOL So gorgeous!!! ( September 3, 2009 @ 7:05 am )
I'm bright, I'm bold, I laugh a lot, I get a little crazy on photo shoots (I dig alleys, architecture, and other things you don't necessarily think of). I am a technology geek, I love my camera (like a bad addiction), I LOVE soda and Starbucks (another bad habit), I like to sing ... loudly ... and trust me, I'm no good. I'm a wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer... I LOVE my job!
