DENVER BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER: J’S CORVETTE BOUDOIR SESSION

I have had the opportunity to work with J. She is not only beautiful, but a super sweet person. We have been collaborating for months about her shoot, and she blew me away with some of her ideas. I shoot a ton of boudoir sessions, but because of their personal nature, I don’t mind if my clients choose to share or not. J was fantastic and offered to share on the blog!

I swear she looked like Jessica Simpson in this shoot. From a Colorado tropical pool setting, to a toasty fireplace, and a BLUE CORVETTE, this session promises to top my list in faves. J, thanks for being awesome and letting me share some of your fabulous shoot!

KORI + JP MARRIED, BELLA VISTA IN STEAMBOAT

A few weeks ago, I went to Steamboat. I have never been there before. True story: I kind of fell in love with it – and I think it’s my new favorite mountain town. But I wasn’t just there to scope out the scenery. I was there for an amazing wedding at Bella Vista. I met Kori last year when she was kindly sent my way by one of my photographer friends. She is one of the kindest people ever … and I knew their day would be amazing. Imagine my surprise when I learn that she knows several of my other brides, and bridal party members from 2 of my previous weddings are there I LOVE my clients

Kori wore a champagne colored dress – unlike any other champagne dress I have seen. JP was decked out as well – black suit – orchid for a boutineer. Their day was perched high above the Steamboat Valley – literally looking over all kinds of amazing scenery. Bella Vista was gorgeous. Kori had fabulous details from black and white tablecloths with pink and orange flowers, to mini burgers and chicken skewers, to a dance floor full of props (seriously – one of the most fun touches I have photographed in quite some time). After the party was really rolling with Groove Nation playing, the bride, groom, and some of their guests escaped to the bon fire which was complete with your own little bon fire favor (including the ingredients needed for the deliciousness). Kori and JP also had super fun vows and a ceremony officiated by JP’s brother. They opted out of the traditional wedding cake and went for brownie sundaes for all of the guests instead. Above all – the way these two look at each other, smile, speak softly and super sweetly – they are truly awesome – and madly in love.

JP told me that he had gotten a new suit – he did great huh!? LOVE this tie!

I am having a fantastic summer. I have made some business changes that I feel are for the best. I absolutely love this job – but, I am constantly searching for balance in my life. Between consistently having 25+ emails in my inbox, answering phone calls, shooting amazing people, attending networking events, and keeping up on Social Media (did I mention running a multi-shooter studio?), my job is a little more than full time I’m not complaining – but I have tried to find ways to be more efficient at everything. This summer, I strived to obtain a new goal – and I cut back (dramatically) on Social Media. So far, it is a decision I won’t regret. Basically, it means more time with my family – and more time focusing on the important aspects of the business. So, for those of you who have asked, I am still alive and kicking … just shifting my focus a bit

In other news, I have lots of blog posts coming. I have truly been blessed this year with more amazing clients and shoots then I can count on one hand. My blog on the other hand, has not been exposed to the wedding season madness, so it is coming! Until then, check out the summer edition of Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine. It is a phenominal Mountain Wedding Magazine that focuses on mountain weddings. We are thrilled to be published in an article by the fantastic Debbie Orwat of Save the Date Events and StudioWed Denver. Carrie and Ben’s Beaver Creek wedding was amazing!

COLORADO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: FEATURED, COUTURE COLORADO!

I know – I am WAY behind on blogging. Things have been crazy – but I am super excited to share tons of recent stuff with all of you I have had some uber fun sessions and more fun weddings on the way! Wedding season is in full swing – and I am enjoying all of the bestest clients in the entire world I’m back to designing albums and all that jazz. In other news – Matt, my amazing husband and I, shared our 6th wedding anniversary this week (hence the moment of silence)! I feel like it were just yesterday that we were married ourselves. I am incredibly blessed to have such an amazing husband and father for our daughter. Love you babe!

I’m super excited about Toy Story 3 – it will be our first movie as a family … wish me luck! And – Eclipse is just around the corner – yes, I love Vampires. I’m anxiously awaiting the new iPhone (seems like I was just waiting in line for last year’s release). I am loving Summer and hope all of you are too!

HOLLY + ROB, MARRIED! TWO RIVERS WINERY, GRAND JUNCTION

I love Holly and Rob. I had a fantastic time with them at their engagement session {when we got on to Coors Field}! I have been excited for their wedding on the Western Slope for almost a year now. I haven’t shot a wedding in Colorado Wine Country – so I was extremely excited to go and share their day. It was nothing short of FABULOUS! Two Rivers Winery is beautiful … we had some amazing weather … and I had a gorgeous couple to work with for the day! I love the kind of love that these two share. One of my favorite moments of the day is when Holly began making the long walk down the isle (which is an incredible path at the Vineyard), and I was focusing on Rob. When he first saw Holly, he mouthed, “Wow”. I seriously love my job and moments like these!

DENVER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, SARAH + ANDREW, MARRIED! HUDSON GARDENS WEDDING

A few weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Sarah and Andrew’s wedding at the Hudson Gardens. You may remember this adorable couple from their engagement session HERE. I first met Sarah, I felt like an instant friend. That never changed – she is an amazingly warm kind of girl. She always GUSHES over her love for Andrew – and after being around these two – I can see why. They are truly a power couple … and I am so excited for what their future holds.

Their wedding took place at the Hudson Gardens in Littleton. The weather was amazing, the light was beautimus (I know, it’s another Karie’ism), and the day was incredible. I have so many favorites to share – but I had to narrow them down for this post … I hope you enjoy some Monday eye candy. I loved every second of working with these two!

We have been busy the past week – and have been to some amazing weddings – with some uber amazing clients! I am so greatful to have shared the day – and been asked to capture it for some pretty special peeps Natalie and I went from Denver to Grand Junction and home for some portraits. So much to share … but here is just a little taste of what’s coming up next!

First – Sarah and Andrew were married at the Hudson Gardens on Thursday. It was a GA-GA-Gorgeous day … and as usual, Sarah and Andrew worked it out!

Then, Natalie and I headed for Grand Junction – to the fabulous Holly and Rob’s wedding at Two Rivers Winery. It was amazing and such a beautiful location! It’s here that I took one of my favorite radical lighting shots ever

And then, I snuck home to take pictures of one of my favorite kiddos and her family! Happy Birthday to Ashlynn! I’m lucky to have shot her and her family several times as she has grown up … and by the way – can you believe those eyes? Photographers – they are straight out of camera!

DENVER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: MOLLY + NATE, ENGAGED!

Let’s face it. The weather here in Denver has been Craptastic So, Molly and Nate’s session was postponed for weather. Sometimes, I think the weather god’s do this for a reason – which is to give us an even more killer day to shoot I met Molly a few months ago. I loved her from the moment I met her. She is so much fun, bubbly, and hey – she’s strawberry blonde She told me about how much she loved Nate. When I met Nate, I knew why. These two are adorable together – and pretty unstoppable I am so excited to show you a few of my faves from your session – and even more excited to tell your love story in July

I should be working out today, or swimming the laps that I promised myself I would learn (in case we aren’t friends on Facebook, I vowed I would learn to swim laps instead of my glorified doggie paddle), or maybe even doing laundry. Instead, I have been culling through some gorgeous images of one of this years couples. Here is just a sneak peek This week my summer marathon begins with a bang and I am super duper excited. Natalie and I will be shooting in Denver and Grand Junction for incredible weddings this week. Maybe I will work out next week
