My style is very couture, fresh, and fun. In other words, these aren’t your parent’s wedding photographs. I strive to capture my couples as who they are, how they love one another, and tell the story of love. I want a couple's pictures to be a reflection of them. I am inspired by fashion, which allows me to capture my clients in a way that is unique and editorial.

SNOW DAY

I know I have a separate blog for portraits now… so if you haven’t already, make sure you add it to your bookmarks or etc. In the meantime, I couldn’t resist sharing a snow day with you. We have been getting a lot of snow for the end of March… But I am one that won’t complain as I love the snow (I do complain if I get stuck in the blizzard when trying to make it home, those of you following me on twitter probably already know that). Anyway, I couldn’t wait to spend time with my family when I got back. So, here are a few shots of my beautiful little girl. She is already 7 months old.

I really love the first and last shot, but I think this last shot is a true indication that my baby is growing up. She is so interested in experiencing the world right now. It is SO much fun!

BLEND WORKSHOP – SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO

I spent the last week in Santa Fe New Mexico at the Blend Workshop. It was an AH-MA-ZING week! I really can’t express in words how much I learned, how much I am ready to ROCK this wedding season, and how inspired I was (and still am). I also met a ton of new and awesomely talented people. I am wowed by my entire week… and now have new photographer friends from all over the US. {Insert Special thanks to everyone … the Image is Found, Jesh De Rox, and Jose Villa} In short, my week was “thebomb.com”.

I’ve already been asked by a lot of people where my images are. Truth be told, we didn’t shoot a lot last week… instead I learned a lot. I was pretty much a sponge. But, on my final day at the workshop, we were allowed to take a couple for 5 minutes and put our new skills to use. This was a real couple, in a real situation, arranged by yours truly. Here are a few of my faves.

I am finally back home, and will be hanging out with my family (I really missed my little girl!). I will be returning to the office on Monday!

Out of the Office

I am on my way to Santa Fe today for a photography workshop this week, so I will be out of the office until Friday. I will be returning emails and phone calls, but since I will be in classes during the day, my response may be a little delayed. When I get back, I will have learned a TON, be refreshed and revived, and be ready to rock this wedding season.

On a side note, I am SUPER excited to go learn from 3 of my favorite photographers in the industry. But I am also a mess … my heart will be at home. You can see for yourself my reasoning below I have never been away from her for a week before, so my wonderful husband promises to send me texts, and talk to me on the phone! I’ll miss you this week Ava!
